If you’re worried about a sinking slab, patio, driveway, or garage floor, your concerns are in the right place. Sinking concrete is not only an eyesore that can affect the value of your property, but it can also become a dangerous trip hazard. It’s important to address this problem with the right solution before it gets out of hand, and you don’t even have to tear up your existing concrete to even things out.
What Is PolyLift?
Polylift is a lightweight, two-part polyurethane foam made with recycled, eco-friendly materials that your contractor can use to level and repair sunken concrete. Once applied, PolyLift can raise sunken concrete to the correct level within a short amount of time.
Not only is this solution quick, but it’s a permanent solution. It resists extreme temperatures and erosion erode due to any moisture or organic activity surrounding it. It can last as long as your concrete’s expected lifetime!
How Does PolyLift Work?
When the soil beneath a concrete slab can’t support its weight, the slab will gradually sink over time. This can result in an uneven elevation between concrete slabs and even cracking.
PolyLift can correct this in three steps:
- First, your contractor will drill one or more 5/8” holes into the affected concrete slab to allow for the PolyLift ports (the number of holes depends on the size and weight of the slab).
- Second, your contractor injects the PolyLift foaming material into each port. The material then expands beneath the slab and fills any voids beneath the concrete surface. The expansion of this incredibly strong material causes the slab to rise to the desired height.
- Third, your contractor will patch the holes drilled into the affected slab, removing evidence that any work was ever done!
Once completed, the newly raised concrete is ready to walk and drive on within 30 minutes. There’s no additional time to wait!
